Biography
Carrie Maultsby-Lute is a business strategist, changemaker, and partnership leader. She currently serves as the head of partnerships at Northeastern University’s Oakland campus, where she drives cross-sector collaborations that fuel student learning, faculty research, workforce development, and economic opportunity. Her work strengthens pathways between academia and industry, aligning higher education with the needs of the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
A seasoned marketing strategist and award-winning educator, Carrie has been recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business, and by New York Life for her innovative approach to small business support. At Northeastern, she co-founded C2C: Policy Equity for All, an Impact Engine that earned the Global Network Accelerator Award.
Previously, as a professor of practice and director of the Center for Transformative Action, Maultsby-Lute led more than 75 experiential learning projects and facilitated convenings that engaged 500+ global leaders. She has also spearheaded initiatives such as Experiential Treks and student-led AI Clinics, underscoring her belief that education should be hands-on, collaborative, and purpose-driven.
Carrie holds a B.A. in Anthropology from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Mills College, where she sharpened her expertise in business, storytelling, and systems thinking.
