WHO WE ARE
Home to Mills College at Northeastern University
Mills College has merged with Northeastern University to form the nation’s first bicoastal university for undergraduate and graduate education and research.
Mills College at Northeastern is at the academic center of our 135-acre Oakland campus. The university offers degrees from the undergraduate through the doctoral level while carrying forward Mills’ focus on gender equity and social justice. Together they provide new opportunities for global experience and personalized learning.
Global programs for students
First-year students can apply to Northeastern’s semester-long N.U.in program or yearlong Global Scholars program on our Oakland campus, and then continue their studies in Boston.
Professional graduate programs
Our programs are closely aligned with needs of the San Francisco Bay Area economy. Professionals and organizations alike will find courses—in-person, online, and hybrid—designed to build skills and keep workforce development at the leading edge.
Our faculty bring advanced, cross-disciplinary expertise and a collaborative approach to solving interconnected challenges, from social justice and equity, to climate change, to supply chain management. It’s a research model that translates discoveries into solutions.
