Mail and Copy Center

The Mail and Copy Center is located in the heart of campus in Rothwell Center, adjacent to the Tea Shop, so you can stay connected with family and friends. Residential students are assigned individual mailboxes to receive mail and packages, and for additional fees, you can:

  • Send mail and packages
  • Purchase shipping supplies and postage
  • Order premium printing, copying, and finishing services
  • Receive or send faxes (domestic and international)

Addressing mail and packages

Effective August 2024
Students are permitted to send mail and packages to arrive no earlier than one week prior to their scheduled move-in date.

To ensure timely mail delivery, you must have items addressed to you using the following format, which includes your personal six-digit mail identification number (available to you in the housing portal):

Residential Mail

Your 6-digit Mail ID Number

IMPORTANT:

  • Your mail ID number is required. It can be found in the Housing Online Portal after you have been assigned your housing placement.
  • If an organization does not offer four address lines for shipping information, include the mail ID number after your last name. Do not include it after MacArthur Boulevard. (Example: Jane Smith 123456).
  • Do not include “Northeastern University” or “Mills College at Northeastern University” in the mailing address.

Receiving packages

  • The Mail and Copy Center will contact you by email when your package has been processed and is available for pick-up from a package locker or the Mail and Copy Center office.
  • Package lockers are located in Rothwell Center, as well as Mary Morse and Prospect Hill residence halls. If a package is not retrieved from a locker within 36 hours, it may be returned to the Mail and Copy Center for pick up during business hours.
  • When picking up a package from the Mail and Copy Center office, you must present your Husky card.
  • Tracking packages can be done via the carriers’ websites:
  • If the tracking result shows that your package has been delivered and you have not received an email, it means your package has not been processed and is not yet available for pick-up.
