Our extensive Makerspaces encompass six adjacent facilities, each enabling you to expand your thinking, complete class projects, and connect with like-minded peers and experts.
Open to all Northeastern students and faculty, these spaces give you the tools, inspiration, and instruction you need to turn your ideas into tangible creations.
What can you do in an Oakland Makerspace?

Design and construct models of a new city branch library for your architecture studio class

Make 3D-printed parts and prototype electronic circuits for the robot you’re building in your engineering class

Familiarize yourself with construction site tasks, like creating steel caps for beams for your class on architectonic systems

Create posters for upcoming events on an analog letterpress or large-format digital printer

Expand or develop extracurricular skills like photography, sewing, and soldering

SPARKING NEW SOLUTIONS
“Having Makerspaces close by supports a more iterative design process, as students can quickly test ideas, gather feedback, and make adjustments.”
