Visit campus
- Prospective and admitted students and families: If you arrive on campus without a tour reservation, please come to the Visitor Center at Lisser Hall (Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.).
- Other visitors: As you approach the main entrance, please ask the public safety officer for directions to your destination.
Our location
Northeastern’s Oakland campus is immediately off Highway 580 at the junction of 580 and Highway 13, about seven miles from the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.
Getting here
Flights
Airports: The closest airport is Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport (OAK). San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is also nearby.
Getting to and from the airport: We recommend using a local taxi or rideshare service.
- One-way cab fare from OAK is approximately $35–$45, and approximately $100–$140 from SFO, depending on traffic.
- Lyft or Uber service is approximately $30 from OAK and $75 from SFO during non-peak hours.
Confirm in your ride-sharing app and/or with your driver that your planned route goes through our front entrance, off MacArthur Boulevard and onto Richards Road.
